The iMMH was conceived in response to the growing recognition that mental health is a crucial public health and development issue in low- and middle-income countries.
Focus is on:
- Key mental health issues in social, cultural, economic, and legal contexts specific to Thailand and Asia
- Mental health promotion and early detection and prevention of mental health disorders
- Coordination of mental health care addressing individual, family, community, and public health levels
- Interdisciplinary teamwork among healthcare and non-healthcare professionals

Tuition Fee
Chiang Mai University would like to inform all concerned that, commencing from Semester 1 of Academic Year 2569 (2026), foreign students will be subject to an additional tuition fee of 20,000 THB per semester, in addition to the tuition fees currently stated on the official website. This revision is implemented in accordance with the CMU Regulation on Graduate Program Lump-Sum Tuition Fees B.E. 2568 (2025), promulgated on 15 November 2568. The details of the regulation are as follows:
- Clause 5.1: Tuition fees are charged according to the study plan specified in each curriculum, as listed in the attached schedule of the regulation.
- Clause5.2: If a student does not complete the program within the specified study period, additional tuition fees will be charged as follows:
- Regular semester: 10,000 THB per semester
- Summer session: 8,000 THB per semester
- Clause 5.3: For foreign students, an additional tuition fee shall be charged on top of Clause 5.1 as follows:
- Regular semester: 20,000 THB per semester
- Year-based program: 40,000 THB per academic year
For the Master’s Program in Mental Health, the tuition fee is set at 87,500 THB per semester in the appendix. Therefore, foreign students must pay an additional 20,000 THB, making the total 107,500 THB per semester.
Therefore, foreign students enrolling from Semester 1, Academic Year 2569 (2026) onward will be required to pay 107,500 THB per semester, totaling 430,000 THB for the entire program duration.
